The 9502S‑09‑ST screw caps are a standard, stocked solid‑top storage solution used to convert autosampler vials into dedicated storage vials. These caps do not contain a pierceable septum and are not intended for autosampler injection.
Each cap is fitted with a 0.2 mm thick PTFE‑only liner, providing an extremely chemically inert sample‑contact surface. PTFE is compatible with a wide range of chromatography solvents and samples, making these caps well suited for applications where material inertness is the primary requirement.
Because PTFE is rigid and minimally porous, it does not provide the same sealing force as liners backed with silicone or rubber. For this reason, these caps are best suited for non‑volatile samples, short‑ to moderate‑term storage, or applications where evaporation control is not critical.
The solid, closed‑top design eliminates needle penetration points entirely, reducing the risk of cross‑contamination and simplifying sample handling during storage, transport, or staging.
